9601: Pediatric Fungal Network's (PFN) STudy of Rare Invasive Fungal DisEases inImmunocompromised Pediatric Patients (STRIDE) Project 1
Target Enrollment
300 patients with IFD, 300 matched patients without IFD
Study Overview
This project will establish the foundation of epidemiological evidence for one-year outcomes of IFD from four groups of rare fungal pathogens, namely Aspergillus spp., non-Aspergillus molds, non-Candida or resistant yeast, and dimorphic fungi. Simultaneously, comparative outcomes will be assessed and, for the first time, patient and caregiver perspectives will be elicited. The infrastructure of this natural history study will also provide the unique opportunity to centrally capture the experience of pediatric patients receiving several novel antifungal therapies under single patient investigational new drug applications (SPINDs).
