Valley Fever Patient Forum: Listening, Learning, and Building Solutions

Date: Wednesday, August 19, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Location: UC Davis Conference Center

Hosted by MyCARE Foundation in conjunction with the 2026 Coccidioidomycosis Study Group Meeting, this patient-centered forum will bring together Valley Fever patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, public health leaders, policymakers, media representatives, and community partners. The program includes MyCARE survey and outreach findings, a clinician-moderated patient panel, partner updates, open community discussion, and networking.

Cocci Study Group 8th Annual International Meeting

This meeting follows the August 19 Valley Fever Patient Forum and provides an opportunity for MyCARE to connect patient priorities with clinicians, researchers, and Valley Fever stakeholders attending CSG.

MyCARE Foundation Externally Led Patient Focused Drug Development Meeting: Mucormycosis

Date: Thursday, November 19, 2026
Format: Virtual

MyCARE will host a dedicated Externally Led Patient Focused Drug Development meeting focused on mucormycosis. The meeting is designed to bring together patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, industry partners, and regulators to better understand the patient experience, diagnostic journey, treatment burden, and long-term recovery needs related to mucormycosis. The meeting will include patient-led panels, large-group discussions, a clinical overview, and development of a Voice of the Patient report.

Active MyCARE Opportunities

Building Capacity to Engage in Patient-Centered CER on Fungal Diseases

MyCARE Foundation is leading a patient-centered engagement initiative to help patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and advocacy partners work together more effectively in fungal disease research. This project is focused on building the skills, tools, and partnerships needed so people with lived experience can help shape future comparative clinical effectiveness research, including research questions, outcomes, education, dissemination, and engagement strategies.
